7:00 pm – The board of directors met prior to the general membership meeting. These are the items that were discussed:

·         Gift was purchased for the ground keeper.

·         Steve mentioned a few guys looking at the main hall for renovations.

7:36 pm – Meeting was called to order

Introduction of Officers:  Mike Cumberland- President, Chris Smith- Treasurer, Brian Jesteadt- Membership, James Hacke- Secretary, Roger Carfangia- Pistol, Mike Ripley- Black Powder, Tom Horstman- Trap.

Treasurer’s Report: Chris read the report.

Bills and Communications:  Chris mentioned there was an increase in the trash bill.   

Pop: Steve turned in $2.

Rental Committee Report:  None to report.

Pistol Team:  Rodger reported for 8 matches.  He took in $521, expenses were $219, kept $91, and turned in $211.  The pistol team gathers on Thursdays at 5 pm to shoot 22 cal. & Centerfire 32, 38, & 45 cal. All are welcome to come practice.

Trap Team:  Tom announced the winter trap league is now halfway over.     

Black Powder:  Nothing to report.

Meat Shoot:  Nothing to turn in due to a low turnout this month.  The meat shoots are held on the 2nd Sunday of every month.  They start at 11 am and are open to members and the public. 

Junior Rifle Team:  Mike Ripley is no longer running the Junior Rifle team.  Anyone that is interested in taking over please contact Mike or a board of directors.    

Archery: 

Fun Indoor Shoot:  Barry had nothing to turn in this month.  The fun shoots happen on Mondays. Doors open at 9 am with the first shoot starting around 10 am.    

Rifle:  Matches will resume in March.  Entry into the first event is $5 and will be $4 to re-enter into additional matches.  There are 4 different classes to shoot in depending on the type of .22 rifle and optics.  Start times will be around 9 am. 

Membership:   Brian took in $2,290, $250 to the maintenance fund, and $2,040 to the general fund, $130 in key cards.  New members for the year 2022 are 53, 647 total members, including 477 senior life/charter members.  *REMINDER- Renewal applications will be accepted for the year 2023 until the meeting held in February.   Please send a check for the correct amount with a self-addressed stamp envelope to Brian.  Please remember if you have a hall entry key, and wish to keep it active, remember to include $10 in addition to your membership renewal.

Old Business:  Rich and Kathy Hoover were presented with a gift card for all the work they do around the club to maintain the property. Thank you both for being such valuable assets to the club.

New Business:  Robert and Janet Wilson donated $500 to the Border Sample Rangers.  A giant thank you to them for their continuous donations to the club.    

Good of the Association:    Thank you for choosing Moraine Sportsman’s Association as your club.  We hope you all have a safe and happy holiday season.
